All change - Johnny & Sue

The wonderful Johnny & Sue (members of Plotgate for nearly 3 years) have decided that the time is right for them to resign their membership of Plotgate due to time commitments elsewhere. They will be sorely missed but will remain great & valued friends to Plotgate & to us, her members.

January Construction Weekend - a roaring success!

Many thanks to everyone who joined us at the weekend & lent their hands & humour to cladding the barn, cleaning the greenhouse, digging, sorting, building, sawing, eating, drinking & laughing! We had a really lovely start to the Plotgate year, helped along by the gorgeous, sunny day on Saturday. We topped it all off by installing ourselves in the Barton Inn for the Langport Mummers performance & lots of cider fueled Wassailing - the only indoor Wassailing in Britain (we reckon!).

Work Weekend 22nd/23rd November

Greetings!

We're gearing up for the work weekend coming up in just over a week & hope you'll be able to join us. We hope to be a bit less chaotic than last month with lots of hard work, hot food & hilarity. If you can join us just let us know through the website & we'll email you all the details.

Last Weekend - thanks to all!

A big thanks to everyone who came along for the work weekend last week, for all your hard work & gorgeous energy! It was a pretty chaotic weekend for us with Amy speaking at the Bristol Young Planners Conference about environmental resiliance & what it means to us at Plotgate & Frankie & Lizzie AWOL.

Plotgate's first lamb roast!

A lovely, impromtu Sunday roast was had at The Barton Inn last Sunday to celebrate the first Plotgate lamb (& hogget) roast & the gorgeous autumnal veg Dan & Amy are growing on The Commonlands. A fine time was had by all, topped off by some truly sensational piano performances by Amy & Liz!

Waste not want not.....September Work Weekend

Mother nature blessed us with amazing weather this weekend & we took full advantage of it butterfly spotting, raw food feasting & wood collecting. We also had some lovely 'waste' collecting with Niki cow pat collecting to fuel her ceramics making through the autumn (thanks to our resident Dexters Rhubarb & Brisket for their contribution!) & Frankie spending much of Sunday rendering lard over the fire as the construction of our temprary micro-kitchen continued.

Work Weekend 20th/21st September 2014

Our next work weekend is this coming weekend & while we're sad that The Great Barton Bake Off has been postponed, talk of moveable micro kitchens, fencing & firewood setting us up for an autumnal weekend of Plotty highjinks. We hope to see you there!

If you'd like directions or any other information just get in touch via the 'Contact Us' page & we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

August Work Weekend (23/08/2014 & 24/08/2014)

This is just a quick reminder that the Plotgate Venture work weekend is this coming weekend! It seems to have snuck up on us this month with so may festivals & festivities taking place but none-the-less, we'll be there for some work, wickedness & wonder & we'd love it if you'd like to join us.

For more details do get in touch & we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

What a work weekend!

I'm not sure how we'll top this one, we had amazing weather, fabulous people, Dan's bread oven is finished, the first Plotgate hog roast was a roaring success, the pigs lapped up the attention from kids & adults alike, we sung, danced & made very merry! We also ground the first Plotgate flour from the wheat we grew last year & managed to make a brithday cake for Dan & chapatis in the bread oven with it. It was so great to have such a gorgeous, international group of people celebrating with us & we hope this is the first of many such celebratons to come.

The July work weekend - a week to go!

Hi All! We're looking forward to next weekend's work days with Dan's birthday hog roast on Sunday & everything on the land bursting with life. We've now got pigs & have been incubating loads of chickens, ducks & turkeys to expand our brood - come & check it out!
